How the sensor works

CardioSync reads your pulse using photoplethysmography (PPG) — a green LED and a light-sensitive sensor watch how blood flow changes just under your skin. It's the same underlying method most wrist-worn heart rate trackers use, and it gives the most consistent trend data when the strap is worn snug against your wrist rather than loose.
