This liner should not be used before your child is 12 months old. Before that age, babies typically don't yet have the strength or coordination to turn their head away if their face presses against fabric, which is exactly why liners and bumpers of any kind are held back from newborns and young infants. Even once your child passes 12 months, keep supervising — every child develops at their own pace, and use before age 2 calls for extra parental attention. We'd also recommend checking with your pediatrician or your local infant sleep safety guidance before fitting any crib liner, whatever your child's age.

To fit it: clear the crib of toys and loose objects first, and never use the liner with the mattress in a raised position. Lay it inside the crib starting from one corner, and pull it snug against the rails so there's no gap a child could get stuck in — don't combine it with pillows, stuffed animals, or other loose bedding, which adds risk rather than comfort. Tie it to the rails with the included ribbons, aiming for two knots per side or one roughly every 50 cm, cutting each ribbon to about 50 cm before tying, and keep every knot on the outside of the rail, out of reach. Once it's in place, give it a gentle tug to check it's secure and confirm there's no gap left anywhere between the liner and the rails.
